As a singing teacher, I tailor my singing lessons to each individual based on their needs, be it building an operatic technique, or learning to sing in the style of a particular folk/pop/jazz/music theatre artist, helping to refine original song compositions or preparing for a big audition. I am also at home teaching theory and beginner level piano and ukulele.

I have studied with several singing teachers over twenty years including Jennifer Lillestone, Kathleen Livingstone, Patricia Rozario, Jeffrey Talbot, Ben Johnson and Robyn Allegra Parton, as well has having had coachings and masterclasses with many esteemed singers and coaches throughout and beyond my time at the Royal College of Music and National Opera Studio. I have gathered a lot of information about the voice over many years and have developed my listening and intuitive skills to be able to hear where there may be tension in the voice or body.

I aim to make my lessons joyful and gentle, and give my students a huge toolbox of tricks and techniques to find more ease so that they can fully express themselves. The final aim is of course to enable the student to be able to tell a compelling story and move others through the power of one’s voice and acting.
